Tropes featured in this episode include:

  • An Aesop: Everybody needs sleep, it's good for you.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: Invoked by Pleakley when cornered by Gantu, who demands Drowsy from him. Pleakley obliges... by having Drowsy bleat in Gantu's face. Unfortunately, it backfires on him when the sleeping Gantu falls over on him.
  • Counting Sheep: Drowsy's theme, looking like a sheep while having the ability to put people to sleep.
  • Didn't Think This Through:
    • Stitch using Drowsy to put Lilo to sleep for the night seemed like a good idea; unfortunately, he didn't realize that it would be a near-permanent state.
    • Pleakley thought it would be clever to use Drowsy against Gantu. Unfortunately, Gantu ends up falling on top of him when he falls to sleep, causing Drowsy to escape again.
  • "Eureka!" Moment: Upon learning from Pleakley that Experiment 360 can put people to sleep, it gives Stitch an idea to ensure Lilo gets some sleep.
  • Filler: Partially; the Regis Philbin-focused second half is just an excuse for the show to have some star power.
  • For Your Own Good: When Nani threatens to put her foot down on Lilo's experiment hunting unless she focuses on her other responsibilities, Stitch uses Drowsy to put her to sleep to keep from losing his experiment-hunting partner.
  • Forced Sleep: Drowsy's primary function is to cause people to sleep by simply bleating. The only way to get people to wake up from his function is by splashing them with water.
  • Instantly Proven Wrong: When Jumba can't find 360's pod, Pleakley says he doesn't know where it is, with Jumba saying it couldn't just get up and walk away. It's at that moment that the pair see something walking past them while draped in a blanket.
  • Now You Tell Me: After spending the whole day exhaustively puppeteering Lilo through her tasks for the day, Stitch has this reaction when Jumba reveals that the method to awaken those put to sleep by Drowsy is by simply spraying them in the face with water.
  • Of Corpse He's Alive: Kid-friendly, non-death version. After Stitch manages to put Lilo to sleep, he quickly finds out that he can't wake her up, so he goes around carrying her unconscious body pretending to be her.
  • People Puppets: When Lilo has a hula recital, Stitch is forced to string her up and dance her through the motions.
  • Season Finale: This episode finishes off season one with some star power.
  • Shout-Out: As stated above, the plot of Stitch having to cart Lilo around and make it look like she's awake seems to be based on the plot of the movie Weekend at Bernie's.
  • Special Guest: Regis Philbin guest stars As Himself.
  • Water Wake Up: The only way to awaken those who fall under Drowsy's sleep spell.
