  • An Aesop: If the name isn't enough, don't go driving without permission. Also, any attempt to cover it up could get you in trouble.
  • Extreme Omnivore: One of the rhino's ends up eating part of an abacus when trying to discuss a treaty.
  • Last-Second Joke Problem: In the end, all seems well when Eris tells Laval that his father's Lion Tank was successfully repaired and Cragger's plan was successfully foiled... that is, until she tells him that the Beavers got too carried away with repairing the tank that they decided to make some modifications. Lagravis sees that his tank now has wings and angrily yells out his son's name before the credits roll.
  • Mr. Fixit: The Beavers are more than happy to fix anything.
  • No Sense of Direction: Eris has a fine sense of direction when she's flying, but not when she's on the ground.
  • Peace Conference: The subplot has Lagravis engage in one of these with the Rhino Tribe.
  • Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness: Eris speaks this way when fighting Crooler in order to distract her long enough push her into the water.
  • Workaholic: The Beavers love working so much that they consider taking vacations punishment.
