Determined to locate the Brotherhood, Leo steers the ship to a Japanese village where monsters attack — and normal rules no longer apply.

- Fighting Your Friend: The main kaiju monster turns out to be Alebrije, brainwashed by Baba Yaga's magic.
- Jabba Table Manners: When presented with sushi, Marcella just picks picks the food up with her hands and scarfs it down, annoying Teodora, who was trying to show her and Leo how to use chopsticks.
- Mama Bear: Although not his parent, Akihito's Vizier swore on the death of his parents to protect the young heir till his coronation, leaning into overprotective territory.
- "Shaggy Dog" Story: Leo was hoping that finding the brotherhood would provide allies and all the answers they need to stop Quetzalcoatl. While they are willing to help, they have no clue what they need to do and were hoping that Leo would have the answers. This causes Leo to angrily storm off in frustration.
- This Is Something He's Got to Do Himself: In contrast to the Vizier's overprotective nature, Marcella feels that Akihito needs to be able to stand and fight on his own two legs, both for his sake and his people's.
- Transformation Sequence: The Dawn Sword allows Akihito to transform into a giant, armored being the same size as the assaulting Kaiju.
