Cosgrove and Shaw arrest a hedge fund manager for a double homicide, but when one of the victims turns out to be alive, Cosgrove must risk his life to keep her that way.
- Be as Unhelpful as Possible: Platt's brother knew she was alive but didn't tell the police even as they charged Nelson with killing her (along with Baker). Platt herself is also an example as she hid herself in a warehouse rather than tell the police what she knew.
- Screw the Rules, I Have Money!: Nelson tries to buy his way into a favorable plea deal by offering to refund missing pension funds which he had previously embezzled. Price rejects this.
