Everyone thinks it's a mistake for Eddie Wagner to fool around with Flutura (Lolita Davidovich), wife of Albi Briscu (Vinnie Jones). However, Stabler makes a discovery that sheds some light on Albi's operation.
Tropes in this episode include:
- Becoming the Mask: Both Bell and Brewster are worried that Stabler is getting too deep into his cover. His actions aren't quite helping things
- He beats up Luca for berating a waitress
- He also insists on making Kosta's meeting despite the likely prospect of getting killed
- He shoots a bar patron (though justified as he had a gun and was ready to shoot Stabler)
- He slips a date rape drug into Flutura's drink when her back is turned. Mind you, this was one of his triggers when he was with SVU.
- The episode ends with him making out with Flutura (as she visited his trailer with Albi's car).
- Delaying Action: To give more time for Stabler to complete the robbery on the bookie, Bell purposely crashes her car into a patrol car that was about to respond to the robbery.
- I Shall Taunt You: During a poker game, Luca insults him about not being more of a big picture guy and just being satisfied with arson insurance fraud and being a poor judge of character. Stabler beats him with the best hand and cleans him out of his money.
- Last Words: Fearing that Kosta will kill him, Stabler first visits both his mother and Eli (telling him how proud he was of him) and tries to leave a final message to Liv on her voice mail to explain his Love Confession but the message runs out of space and he can't bring himself to do it again.
- Oh, Crap!: Stabler when Reggie informs him that the Jerkass he just roughed up is Kosta's son-in-law to be.
- Slipping a Mickey: Stabler slips some crushed sleeping pills into Flutura's drink. He then searches her stuff while she's asleep and takes all the evidence that he was there before leaving.
- Tempting Fate: Despite being warned by both Bell and Reggie that Kosta will kill him for beating up Luca, Stabler insists on meeting with him in order to keep his cover intact. Luckily, Albi vouches for him and Kosta spares him this time. Privately, Kosta admits that he doesn't like Luca, but he still insists that Stabler makes it right.
- Token Evil Teammate: Malachi, complete with annoying and flirting with Jet.
- Trojan Horse: With Malachi in their custody, Bell and Jet initially planned to get the KO to switch their phones for a new one with the bug that Jet and Malachi implanted. They achieve this by arresting the KO's primary phone provider. What they didn't expect was that nearly all of the organized crime organizations now want this phone as well, which would provide the OCCB unprecedented access to every criminal organization in NYC.
