Scarlemagne rallies his troops as Kipo searches for her next clue, which sends her into a trash canyon — and into a hideaway for Fitness Raccoons.

Tropes:

  • Bavarian Fire Drill: Because the raccoons are too afraid to ever consciously confront Beak Beak, the gang decide to trick them into it under the ruse of new exercise routines.
  • Conditioned to Accept Horror: The raccoons have come to calmly accept that their home is going to constantly ' come under attack by a giant monster that they can't stop. This is shown when the bird in question breaks through the ceiling and eats a pair of raccoons, and the rest just keep pedaling without even missing a beat. It takes the characters some work to trick them into helping themselves and break this worldview.
  • Down in the Dumps: Most of the episode takes place in Trash Canyon, an expansive canyon filled with hills of trash.
  • Expecting Someone Taller: When the Fitness Raccoons meet Kipo and her friends, they are slightly disappointed seeing humans like Kipo, Wolf, and Benson not having big poofy hair and large muscles like the exercise posters have shown.
  • Full-Name Ultimatum: Played for Laughs when Kipo rejects the idea of Wolf never joining a community and tells her that she WILL convince her otherwise by calling her "Wolfatha Christie the Fourth" — she doesn't know Wolf's name, so she made one up to make her statement sound more serious.
    Wolf: Wolfatha Christie the Fourth?
l Kipo: Well you don't have a full name and I needed one for emphasis.
  • Gasp!: The crowd of mutes gasp at the sight of Scarlemagne maintaining perfect control of his human servants with just a snap of his fingers.
  • Giant Flyer: Beak Beak is a humungous pigeon with two beaks.
  • Hope Spot: Just as Wolf agrees to stay in the burrows with Kipo, she discovers the latter's Mute nature completely by accident and she runs off before Kipo can properly explain herself.
  • Internal Reveal: Wolf learns about Kipo's mute abilities, but abandons the group before it can be explained.
  • Shout-Out:
    • The episode's name is a reference to Twin Peaks.
    • The name Kipo comes up with for Wolf is "Wolfatha Christie the Fourth", referencing Agatha Christie.
  • Stepford Smiler: The raccoons are very peppy and friendly but also live in resigned fear of a mega pigeon popping its head in to eat them at any time.
  • Suffer the Slings: What ultimately gets rid of Beak Beak is a giant makeshift slingshot created by Kipo and the Fitness Raccoons.
  • To Make a Long Story Short: When Tongue Depressor is about the give a lengthy explanation as to why the Fitness Raccoons have trash-related names, Label cuts him off by shouting that they found their names in the trash.
  • Training the Peaceful Villagers: The gang helps the raccoons see that there is a way for them to fend off Beak Beak.
  • Tree Cover: Jamack hides behind a tree to avoid detection from the crowd of mutes gathered at Scarlemagne’s arrival.
