Go To

Hank takes Bobby (who needs a lesson in self-reliance) and the guys on a fishing trip, where they vow to eat only what they catch, but the trip is ruined by hippies who would rather sponge off the park's resources, and Bobby inadvertently let the hippies live off Hank. Meanwhile, Peggy tries to complete a to-do list that culminates in her sticking her nose into other people's business.

Tropes:

  • Artistic Licence – Law: Contrary to what Ranger Bradley states, the First Amendment does not include any of the things he lists. "Freedom of Speech" has its limitations. Also, public defecation is a felony and not protected by any law whatsoever.
  • Boring, but Practical: When Ranger Bradley offers to let Hank use his hose and pepper spray to get rid of the hippies, Hank suggests cutting off the park resources. Bradley lampshades the trope by saying it's not at interesting as his plan
  • Lazy Bum: The hippies are portrayed as such, mooching off the park resources as opposed to actually getting employment and being self-sufficient. When Hank and Bobby get the resources cut off and offer to teach them how to hunt, fish and survive in the park without them, the hippies immediately leave the park.
  • Special Guest: Melissa Etheridge as Topaz and the Singing Hippie, Jamie Kennedy as Fudgie and the Police Chief and Fred Willard as Ranger Bradley and the Reclining Hippie.
