When the local quarry is going to be drained for a landfill, Hank must pretend he is interested in environmental issues to keep Boomhauer from finding out that the car he thought got stolen when he was a teenager is in that quarry.
Tropes:
- Bait-and-Switch: The way the guys react when they find out the quarry is being drained, combined with the fact that they only refer to Boomhauer's car as "Sally" before the flashback, makes it seem like they accidentally killed a woman and hid her body in the quarry, rather than crashing a car.
- Dirty Coward: Bill and Dale let Hank play Fall Guy over Boomhauer's car, and even shame him over it in some Bad "Bad Acting". Expectedly Boomhauer doesn't buy it.Dale: What gave us away?
- Easily Forgiven: Zig-Zagged. Boomhauer doesn't show forgiveness right away when he finds out what happened to his old car, though he tells Bobby at the end that he'll come around soon enough: he initially suggests being mad at him for at least 2 to 3 weeks, but when Bobby tells him that Hank's been quoting Boomhauer to Bobby, he considers cutting it down to just a single week.
- Fall Guy: Hank instantly takes the whole blame for disposing of Boomhauer's car Sally when Bill and Dale shared equal blame. Though Boomhauer does know that they were equally responsible all along and forces them to drive Sally back home.

Anvilicious levels. - Let Us Never Speak of This Again: Hank, Dale and Bill all concur to not speak of the incident where they threw Boomhauer's old car Sally into the quarry again.

- The Stool Pigeon: Bobby informs Boomhauer about his old car Sally. Hank calls him out on this later on, though Bobby then demonstrates he did it because he was upset at Hank pretending he cared about what Bobby was doing just to cover his tracks.Hank: You called Boomhauer on me? But why?Bobby: You "acted like an environmental nut job for a week?" But why?
- What the Hell, Hero?: Bobby gets upset at Hank when he finds out Hank has just been pretending to go green just to cover his own ass (along with Dale and Bill). To Hank's credit, he does feel remorseful about it. Boomhauer does the same thing, and later tells Dale and Bill to drive the wreck home as punishment.
