To get the middle school baseball team new uniforms, Hank arranges an exhibition game between a Globetrotter-esque softball squad and the Zephyrs. But things go south in a hurry when Hank doesn't realize who he's messing with.

Tropes:

  • Competition Freak: Hank's downfall. While everyone is there to have fun, Hank tries treating it like a real game, doing nothing but bunting to get players home. The Ace eventually has enough, and turns the game into glorified pitching practice against the Zephyrs.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Once Ace sees that the crowd got bored and left because of Hank's antics, he gets furious and tells the Jewels to stop playing for exhibition and start playing for real. Hank has about two seconds to enjoy it before the Zephyrs get flattened by a barrage of home runs.
  • Evil Is Petty: The Ace takes the money raised for charity (that his team was going to hand out once the game ended). He hates the fact that Hank making the game be "for real" instead of clowning around made the crowd leave and he could not sell merchandise, which is a good point—but he still knows the money is meant for children and does not gives a damn.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: The Ace is a massive jerk in taking the money that was meant for charity, but he's not doing it out of pure pettiness. As he points out, Hank's attempt to take things seriously made the game boring and drove off the crowd—which hurt the Ace's livelihood since he wasn't able to sell any of his merchandise.
  • No Celebrities Were Harmed: The Ace and his Jewels are obvious nods to Eddie "The King" Feigner and his Court.
  • Noodle Incident: Apparently, Joe Jack did something heinous at the Taco Bueno, and got kicked off the team for it. The very mention of it makes everyone look uncomfortable.
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: The Ace and his Jewels are all ex-pro baseball players. The second they start taking the game seriously, Hank and the Zephyrs get clobbered.
  • Torment by Annoyance: The third act involves the Zephyrs following the Ace to Jewels' next exhibition game to ask him to please hand over the charity money. Once Ace declines, Hank (and then the rest of the team) begin to shake the Ace's RV as hard as they can and swear to continue doing this everywhere the Ace goes until he hands over the money. The Ace decides to hand over the money.
