After the Seniors lose their fortune to a conman, SSS is determined to get it back. At the same time, Kim traces a rash of thefts to the X Games.

Meanwhile, Ron tries becoming a jock to impress girls.

This episode provides examples of:

  • Accidental Athlete: Ron ends up inadvertently inventing 'umbrella surfing' and becomes a hit at the X Games. Unfortunately, his popularity vanishes when he blows his exposition stunt.
  • The Bad Guy Wins: While Senior ends up being arrested, he still managed to rebuild his fortune by stealing from Vinny Wheeler, and Junior is able to restore the rest of it by turning in his father for the reward money in order to buy back their island and subsequently break out his father from prison.
  • Broke Episode: The Seniors lose their fortune to a conman. When the conman offers two billion dollars for the capture of SSS, SSJ decides to use it to buy back his family's island home.
  • Bullying a Dragon: Like Philippe Bullion before him, Vinny Wheeler made the mistake of antagonizing a man known to be an international supervillain. Senior decided to take it upon himself to retake his fortune from Wheeler, stealing from one of the conman's business at a time until he had rebuilt his fortune.
  • Calculator Spelling: Kim mistakes the "SSS" tattoo on the back of Senior's neck as a "555" due to the way it's written.
  • Evil Versus Evil: The Seniors contend with a con artist who swindled them.
  • Exact Words: SSJ can't let Kim turn his father over to the authorities... because he wants to do it himself.
  • Hidden Depths: Much to the surprise of Kim (and presumably the viewers), SSS turns out to be in extremely good shape for a man his age—seriously, he probably could've competed in the X-Games himself despite his age.
  • Ignored Aesop: After his newfound fame evaporates, a disappointed Ron resolves to embrace Be Yourself from now on. Then a couple of cute girls walk by and say they consider him the hero for what happened today. Ron immediately runs with it, much to the disappointment of Kim and Rufus.
  • Karma Houdini: Despite having some of his merchandise stolen, Vincent Wheeler ultimately doesn't face any federal repercussions for swindling his rich clients.
  • Long List: After Ron gets hurt at the MHS-football tryouts, Kim questions Rufus on just how many sports that Ron can try out for at their high school—when Rufus pulls out a list of said teams, the list itself turns out to be very long.
  • Product Placement: The X Games happen to be one of the few sporting eventsnote  that fellow Disney unit ESPN owns outright.
  • Save the Villain: Kim saves Vincent Wheeler from SSS.
  • So Proud of You: SSS is hurt to have been turned in by his own flesh and blood until SSJ explains that he did so in order to get the reward (which he is certain is more than enough to break the old man out of prison and buy back their island). SSS is quite impressed to hear this and, while being taken away, congratulates his son.
  • Spoiler Title: "Triple S" makes it pretty clear that Kim's belief that Senior has three 5s on the back of his neck is mistaken.
  • "Well Done, Son" Guy: Because SSS turns is an action sports champion, SSJ is genuinely trying to make a go of winning the X Games and make him proud. His being quite terrible at the games makes that impossible, but he does earn his old man's praise when collecting the big reward and making them rich again.
