Krash, Dokko, and Rosa argue over what color they will paint the weather vane on Chiko's house. Krash offers carrot color, Rosa pink color, and Dokko yellow color. Krash offers Chiko the chance to make his own choice, but it turns out that he does not have an opinion at all. After thinking about it, Krash decides that Chiko is not sure of his own opinion, and in order to restore his confidence, he must compliment him. But Krash can't find the right words and decides to turn to Wally for help because he is a poet and will be able to write an ode of praise for Chiko. Wally gets the job done quickly and gives Chiko a ready-made ode in verse. Chiko passes it to Dokko, and after reading it, he decides that she is too high-minded and she lacks sincerity. Chiko gives an ode to a disgruntled Wally and asks him to add warmth.

Wally works all night on the ode, and in the morning, making sure that no one is around, he passes it to Chiko. Chiko gives an ode to Rosa sitting on a tree, and after reading it, she suggests adding masculinity. Wally gets angry and shouts at Chiko; does he know what he really wants? If someone has more character than him, it's better to write for him. With that, Wally leaves. Krash removes the weather vane from the roof, deciding to made a new one when Chiko decides on the color. Chiko notices that he is also looks like a weather vane. He has no opinion of his own and shows where the wind blows. His thoughts are interrupted by Dokko, who finally understands why he decided to paint the weather vane yellow. Yellow is the color of variability because the weather vane is constantly changing directions. Chiko gets tired of listening to him, and he leaves.

In the evening, Chiko is standing on a hill and enjoying the wind when Wally comes up to him and gives him a sheet with a short and concise ode. After listening to her Krash, Rosa and Dokko start arguing among themselves. Wally and Chiko are watching them, and Wally says that even though Chiko doesn't have his own taste, sometimes he's the only one who listens.
