Calibur's identity turned out to be Kento, who should have died! Despite this revelation however, Kento suddenly leaves telling them he will seal all the Sacred Swords to save the world from destruction! Believing that they can fight together again, Touma and his friends try to engage Primitive Dragon who has caused Touma to go berserk more than once! Meanwhile, Ren is glad to hear that Kento has resurrected, but is told by Reika that he is an enemy of the guild. So just what happened to Kento? This is the beginning of the battle over the Almighty Book, Yuri tells them, being the first owner and keeper of the power of the Sword of Shadows! Yuri confronts Kento alone, but it eventually drags him into a battle against him! And just then, he starts to make his move...

  • Ambiguous Situation: After Tassel confronts the current Master Logos, the latter makes the former disappear, leaving his fate unclear.
  • Bad Future: While he was stuck inside Kurayami, the sword showed Kento numerous timelines and futures where the heroes attempted to stop The End of the World as We Know It and fail. If what Kento says is true, the Sacred Swords are a major reason why this happens.
  • Bait the Dog: Kento's return would be cause for celebration if not for the fact that he is declared an enemy to the Sword of Logos by Reika when he states his intentions to seal away all the Sacred Swords to prevent the destruction of the world.
  • Brought Down to Normal: Kento succeeds in defeating Slash and sealing away Onjuuken Suzune.
  • Despair Event Horizon: Touma is overcome with sorrow upon realizing the true nature of Kento's return and goes off the deep end. Kento was kicked over it during his time inside Kurayami, causing him to become Well-Intentioned Extremist.
  • Downer Ending: Suzune has been sealed, which means Kamen Rider Slash is no more, much to Tetsuo's despair. Everyone else is too shocked for words as Kento continues moving on with his agenda.
  • Foreshadowing: A shot of the Sacred Swords being sealed shows an unidentified sword (in between Rekka and Nagare) which hasn't been revealed yet in the show (counting the recently-revealed Noroshi and the thus far movie-only Kyomu). Speculation about the element and wielder of said sword promptly commenced.
    • Before Kento's battle with Yuri, a brief vision is shown of their fight, hinting his situation minutes before the reveal. In addition, the way he dodges Reika's attack from behind is possibly another hint at that.
    • A blink-and-you'll-miss-it example for the next episode: During the montage of the Bad Futures Kento sees, Legeiel is nowhere to be found, presagin his demise the following episode.
  • Given Name Reveal: Tassel’s real name is revealed to be “Victor”.
  • Mêlée à Trois: We get a three-way fight involving Saikou, Calibur, and Sabela midway through the episode.
  • Mind Rape: Kurayami has shown Kento an uncountable number of Bad Futures when all his friends die and the world is destroyed. No wonder he is just a step above an Empty Shell now.
  • The Reveal: The first five followers of the woman who united the two worlds are revealed. Namely, they were the first Master Logos, Tassel, and the three Megid Generals.
    • In addition, the original purpose of Kurayami, being that of a sword that can seal others, is revealed.
  • Seers: One of Kurayami's powers is to allow its wielder to see the future, which can manifest as Combat Clairvoyance or make said wielder witness multiple Bad Futures.
  • Shoo Out the Clowns: Tassel doesn't narrate the beginning and the end of the episode because he went to meet someone, who then captured him.
  • The Tape Knew You Would Say That: As Touma tries to reason with Kento, he latter not only finishes his sentence for him, but then proceeds to recite the remainder of the conversation by himself. It emphasises just how much he’s seen.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: Kento is willing to seal all of the Sacred Swords if that's what it takes to prevent the destruction of the world, even though doing so makes him a direct enemy to his former friends and the Sword of Logos.
  • Wham Episode: For all the reasons above, this episode is a big turning point for the series.
