Summary

George explains that the experiment bore stark similarities to his Barid Rex Vistamp, only this experiment used the DNA of ten types of monsters, with nine out of ten of them gathered and the mastermind still finding a sample of Orphnoch DNA. He continues that if the experiment is completed, the user will become a monster.

Back at the lodge, Ikki tells Suzu that Naoto was captured, when Suzu reveals that her fiancé died thanks to a monster, telling Ikki to defeat the Orphnoch. Ikki approaches Genpachiro, and the other occupants, who have tied up Naoto, real name Naoya Kaido. The cop determines Kaido the Orphnoch to be the murderer, but Ikki disagrees, prompting Kaido to note that compassion causes people to be easily deceived by other people. As the other scuffle over Kaido, George and Ryu arrive at the lodge, having traced Ikki's location through his phone. The Futo Police superintendent reveals that the culprit intended to have Kaido framed and killed while taking their Orphnoch DNA to complete their stamp. With the information in hand, Ikki determines the true culprit to the murder and the mystery to be...Suzu Saionji.

Ikki recalls the time when Hiromi passed out when Suzu tended to him, during which, he saw sand near his bed; that pile of sand resembled the one when Taro was killed; this new pile of sand fell to the ground when she jumped upon seeing Hiromi get up. Ikki also remembers Suzu telling him to defeat the Orphnoch, which was the first time he heard that word, deducing that Suzu knew it before anyone did. With that knowledge, she used sand at the scene of the crime to frame Kaido (since sand looks very similar to ash when seen from afar) and also took the stamp Hiromi claimed when she tended to the injured commander to reclaim evidence that could incriminate her. George concludes that she intended to have Ikki destroy Kaido to extract the latter's Orphnoch DNA. As for Taro's murder, Ikki deduces that it was done before the crash; Hanawa, as the Roidmude, killed Taro way earlier before helping Suzu set up a contraption that caused the crashing sound after a period of time. Ryu reveals that Taro was also a part of Suzu's scheme, but intended to sell her stamps behind her back. Ryu also revealed that he had some fellow Kamen Riders aid in questioning one of her former stamp users.

Her guilt exposed, Suzu reveals a menacing-looking stamp in her possession and that she had Taro act as the Deadman before having him killed. She also plotted to have Revice lured to her lodge and have Hiromi injured because he was interfering with her plan. When the others move in to arrest her, she uses another stamp similar to the ones Ikki and Hiromi found to turn a tied-up Hanawa into a Smash to capture Kaido and escape with Ikki and Ryu in hot pursuit...

Tropes

  • Bait-and-Switch: As Jounouchi holds up a former Oblivian Vistamp user, we're then shown Oren seemingly coming in to gut-punch him... but instead subjects the poor guy to Tickle Torture instead.
  • Evil Counterpart: The project George finds, aiming to use DNA from ten types of Rider monsters, is specifically meant to evoke a dark version of Barid Rex.
  • I Never Said It Was Poison: Suzu telling Ikki that Kaido was an Orphnoch, without him knowing of the term, helps him to realize that she was the mastermind of the events of the mini-series.
  • Not Me This Time: In spite of Kaido's misanthropy by virtue of being an Orphnoch, he correctly points out that he's more-or-less innocent of the goings on at the lodge and in fact was the intended victim of Suzu's scheme.
  • The Summation: After managing to pinpoint Suzu as the mastermind, Ikki manages to sum up just how she (alongside Hanawa) was able to pull off Gondawara's murder.
  • Wham Episode: For The Mystery mini-series, as it reveals who the true culprit is, alongside tying together the two storylines.
  • What Measure Is a Non-Human?: Suzu's scheme hinges on the fact that with Kaido revealed to be an Orphnoch, all suspicion would be on him rather than anyone else in the lodge.
  • Working the Same Case: This episode finally reveals that the two storylines (namely the murder at the lodge where Ikki and company are and George and Terui investigating a spate of weird Vistamp-related cases) all lead up to the same culprit.
