Breaking Out the Boss: Orteca escaped from jail with the aid of a mysterious figure, who set him free so he could obtain the Juuga Driver.
Continuity Nod: The events of The Mystery, during which the Revice crew met Otta, are referenced here when George is talking with Rinna.
Denser and Wackier: Revice is no stranger to wackiness, but despite having Orteca as a main character this special is much less serious and more goofy than even the lighter episodes of the original show.
Due to the Dead: As part of his morning routine, George makes a pair of drinks that his dad enjoyed and toasts them together at a shrine he made for Masumi.
Failed a Spot Check: Rinna apparently didn't realize that her new research colleague is really an evil and escaped cult leader.
Here We Go Again!: The special ends with Orteca escaping from jail again and George heading out to help the other Revice Riders recapture him.
Mistaken for Cheating: Rinna has been at odds with Otta ever since she discovered he was getting texts from Hiromi, thinking he was another woman. It takes Tamaki bringing Hiromi in to clear up the misunderstanding.
Idiot Ball: George Karizaki doesn't try to tell Rinna at all that Makoto is Orteca and is an evil cult leader.
The Remnant: Loose from prison, Orteca now leads the "Neo Deadmans" to carry on the Deadmans' legacy. And apparently, Hana/Aguilera is a member too.
Red Herring: The hooded figure who summoned the Brachio Deadman is first assumed to be Orteca, only for said hooded figure to later be shown spying on Orteca.
