As the eleventh hour draws closer, tensions rise, loyalties are divided and chaos reigns across the island as the kids are forced to choose between their own salvation or stopping a dangerous force from escaping Isla Nublar.
- Bookends: The first episode of season one saw the kids arriving on Isla Nublar, the end of the season three finale sees them finally saying goodbye to the island.
- Cliffhanger: The episode ends with the campers finally escaping Isla Nublar on Mitch and Tiff’s Yacht, however unbeknownst to them a dinosaur has stowed away on the boat.
- Exact Words: Hawkes tells Darius and Brooklynn that he won't come any closer while trying to negotiate with them... then sends one of his men ahead to try and ambush them.
- Fighting the Lancer: By the end of the episode, Kenji is still outraged at Darius for putting Brooklynn's life in jeopardy as part of the plan, even if it was for the greater good and Brooklynn got out unharmed.
- I Have Your Friend: Hawkes and Dr. Wu hold Brooklynn hostage in exchange for Dr. Wu’s laptop.
- More Despicable Minion: Dr. Wu may be in charge, but Hawkes, leader of the mercenaries, is by far the more brutal and callous. When Wu hears that the Indominus sample has been retrieved, he’s willing to just leave, but Hawkes insists on buzzing the campers in the chopper one last time out of spite.
- They Knew the Risks: Dawson, one of the mercenaries, slips on a log and falls into a storm-swollen river. As he's carried away by the current, Hawkes brushes his near-certain doom off with these words.
- MacGuffin: Dr. Wu's laptop, once again. Dr. Wu wants it back for the data on the hybrids, while the campers want to use the same data as proof of Wu’s actions and intentions for said hybrids. While the laptop is ultimately smashed by an Ankylosaurus, it averts No MacGuffin, No Winner, since the data is all backed up on Sammy’s hard drive.
- Mistaken Identity: Reed, while sneaking up on Yaz and Darius, uses heat-sensing goggles to track them down... but gets them mixed up with Chaos and Limbo before he can spring at them from out of the bushes. Reed is immediately eaten by the two Baryonyx.
- Slasher Smile: Reed sports one as he slinks ahead of the other mercenaries to try to get the drop on Darius and Yaz.
- Stunned Silence: Dr. Wu tries explaining himself as a visionary to Brooklynn. Brooklynn replies that visionaries don’t ultimately make the world worse, a statement that visibly shocks Wu.
- Summon Bigger Fish: Brooklynn whacks an umbrella against a desk to get the attention of the Monolophosaurus prowling the lab. The theropods immediately burst in and attack everyone, giving her time to make a break for it in the chaos.
- Take a Third Option: Forced to either give Dr. Wu’s laptop back, or let Brooklynn suffer the consequences, Darius comes up with a plan: copy the laptop data to a USB drive, wipe the laptop, hand it over in exchange for Brooklynn, then use an Ankylosaurus stampede to distract Dr. Wu and his men from looking too closely at it while they make a getaway.
- We Need a Distraction: Ben and Bumpy lead an Ankylosaurus stampede towards the chopper, distracting Hawkes and Wu from looking too closely at the laptop and even getting it smashed in the confusion.
