In order to recruit a teen army for MAD, Talon plans to disguise himself as popular singer Nigel Saint De Le Pepperton III Esquire IV. Naturally, Nigel comes under the protection of Inspector Gadget, Brain and a starstruck Penny.

- Comically Missing the Point:Talon (disguised as Nigel): Since you like Nigel, I mean, me so much, why don't we go see a movie?Penny: Hey! I know that voice! You're Talon!Talon: Okay, you got me! But I had you going there, didn't I?
- Talon: (Beat) But seriously, if I wear the mask would you want to go out?Penny: That's your plan?Talon: Well, it doesn't have to be a movie...Oh! The mind-control. Yeah.
- Compelling Voice: Talon's new invention is designed to put anyone who falls under its influence obey the user. It's appearance of a tricked-out microphone makes it perfect for use during a concert.
- Does This Remind You of Anything?: While listening to Nigel's 'performance' at the beginning of the episode, Penny squeals with delight, briefly stiffens, and collapses into a seat with an exhausted but goofy grin on her face.
- Dude, Where's My Respect?: Talon is upset when Penny dismisses his hypnotising plan as terrible, especially since he'd pretty much planned and pulled it off single-handed. Or it might be because she never responded to his asking her out.
- Entitled Bastard: Nigel comes off as one, condescendingly patting Penny on the head as he dismisses her and outright telling Gadget he doesn't care about his stories.
- He's also more concerned with his personal comfort and beauty treatments than the fact he and Penny are trapped in his limousine.
- Green-Eyed Monster: Talon is clearly jealous when he watches Penny fangirl over Nigel.
- Heel Realization: Nigel realises he's being an ass after Penny scolds him.
- Latex Perfection: Talon's Nigel mask.
- Not Even Bothering with the Accent: Despite being disguised as Nigel, Talon doesn't even bother trying to speak with Nigel's British accent. Plus, Penny quickly recognises his voice.
- Not So Above It All: Despite being mature most of the time, we're reminded that Penny is still a teenage girl with some regular girl interests like popular singers.
- Sensory Overload: As Nigel is a professional whistler and Brain is a dog, he isn't a big fan of the guy. The fact Penny likes to play his 'music' loud doesn't help.
- Squee: Penny's response when she realises their next mission is to bodyguard Nigel.
- What Does She See in Him?: Talon's response when he sees how Penny reacts to Nigel's arrival.
- Penny herself comes to this realisation when she spends time with Nigel and sees what kind of person he is. Forgets about it when he mentions her name on stage, though.
