When an investment con goes wrong, notorious dealer Czechoslovakian Charlie comes knocking, and gives Albert to get him £500,000 in place of his brother Phil. Spurred on by his tendency to chop those who wrong him up into pieces, the gang scout for a mark to cover the loan, and one soon turns up; Luke Baincross; an aged playboy with which the crew will run an insurance scam on his insured jewel-encrusted tiger.

Tropes:

  • Chekhov's Gun:
    • The lesson on misdirection is imperative to the con later on, as the crew use Luke's car alarm to distract the people in the hall to replace the real tiger with an ice sculpture
    • The temperature control in the basement of the museum is also very important. It ensures the tiger sculpture melts overnight, making it look like the real tiger was stolen from the vault.
  • Death by Cameo: Colin Baker appears as Phil, the would-be mark who dies of a heart attack.
  • Epic Fail: Eddie making a cocktail has him shatter the bottle at the party, gets the water everywhere when he shakes the shaker. The look on his face screams "I really didn't think this through...".
  • Gilligan Cut: The crew, on two seperate occasions, want Emma and Sean to work the inside, but Emma staunchly refuses to go to Baincross Hall on the grounds she loathes everything about him, while Sean gets buttered up on his skills and quick thinking. Cue Emma in a car driving to Baincross Hall, while Sean mopping the floor of the hall. Both do an exasperated look to camera as an Aside Glance.
  • Odd Friendship: Ash has a contact that can get him party guests quickly....a London robot statue performer.
  • Pet the Dog: Mickey, in an unusual amount of kindness, lets Eddie the barman work the con with them; as a bartender. To some extent, justified, as he didn't have much time to pick and choose a better option.
  • Sarcastic Confession: Mickey, while talking to Luke about what they'll do with the tiger, responds with "From what I hear, tigers don't swim too well". The crew dumps the tiger in his swimming pool.
  • Shout-Out:
  • The Stinger: The crew talk to the toy tiger, which is clearly just their actors staying in-character and goofing around. Sean uses it as a therapist, Emma pets and pats it, Ash tries to get the eye back in, Mickey tries to teach it card tricks, while Albert strokes ands cuddles it. Eddie, however, get scared by it, with everyone off-screen laughing at it.
  • Surprisingly Sudden Death: Phil gets a heart attack, and it's his death that forces the crew to play Czech Charlie.
