Simon moves in with Walter, distracting Walter from his attempts to get Paul an online date. Meanwhile, Emmy digs up memories of Sarah's mother.

- Call-Back: At the Memory Bank, Emmy clarifies to the receptionist she's never been there "alone," as her first time going there was with Cat Stevens in the previous season.

- LOL, 69: Simon checks with Walter if he can adjust the thermostat to sixty-nine degrees.
- Lost Food Grievance: Maury is very upset to see his daily yogurt missing from the fridge, and even more upset to discover Lionel took it, and he shares it with Montel.
- Making Love in All the Wrong Places: Walter and Simon fuck in every place but Walter's bedroom. Including the apartment complex's shared laundry room, while someone else is trying to wash their clothes.
- Metaphorgotten: Maury hyping up Paul's dick with a sandwich metaphor loses the point:Maury: [Your best feature is] your sweet hog! Your dong! Your five-dollar footlong, packed with ham and turkey and shaved-up lettuce.

- Old People are Nonsexual: Discussed. Montel and Lionel both insist Paul shouldn't try having sex because his body is old and weird. Maury disagrees, arguing that saggy old skin is actually pretty convenient for sex.
- Plotline Crossover: Emmy's client Sarah is the daughter of Walter's client Paul and her Missing Mom issues are because said mom is Paul's dead wife Evelyn. They were very close, but Sarah couldn't stand to see her mother on her deathbed and never got to say goodbye.
- Raging Stiffie: Paul gets hard, presumably for the first time since his wife died, while watching a woman play tennis. Lionel and Montel waste no time in shaming him for it (and Tito seems to think having a boner is equal to sexual harassment), though of course Maury's in favor of it.Maury: We want you like the Saturday crossword — always hard!
- Repressed Memories: Sarah's memories of her mom only show up in the Memory Bank as a Blank White Void, as they've been buried due to Sarah's guilt about not seeing her before she died. Emmy needs to actively dig for them to find them. Sarah is very insistent on keeping these repressed, and she and Van both get furious when Emmy brings them up.
- Saying Sound Effects Out Loud: Emmy dramatically says "troubled sigh" out loud to get Pete's attention.
- Vomit Indiscretion Shot: Maury throws up when Lionel talks about molding Montel in his image.
