Summary
After Makoto brings Kyoko to the Hope's Peak infirmary to recover, Headmaster Kirigiri rushes in to see his wounded daughter. Will Kyoko let him be her father when she wakes up? And how will she react to the news that Makoto did indeed save her?

- Freakiness Shame: When Kyoko asks Makoto if he finds her hideous because of her scars, he assures her that he doesn't find her hideous and was only shocked by them because he thought they were recent injuries. He even goes as far as to hold her hands.
- Internal Reveal: Makoto learns about Kyoko's burn scars on her hands, as well as her relationship with Jin.
- The Only One I Trust: This chapter fully cements Makoto as this to Kyoko. This even goes as her mentally putting him on a First-Name Basis.
- Skewed Priorities: When Fuhito visits Kyoko in the infirmary, he tells her that she still has a backlog of cases and tells her not to be on bedrest for too long. This is despite the fact that she nearly died in a fire.
- When She Smiles: Seeing Makoto not be disgusted by her burnt hands causes her to smile.
- You Are Better Than You Think You Are: When Jin believes that he doesn't have the right to be Kyoko's father after abandoning her, Makoto reassures him that it isn't too late to reconnect.
