- Artistic License – Law: Discussed. While reading "The Boscombe Valley Mystery", Kyoko gets irritated over how Holmes solved the case and how he just let the culprit go just because they admitted to it. Jin just simply chalks it up as
the story being a product of its time. - Awkward Father-Son Bonding Activity: Well, it's more like "Awkward Father-Daughter Bonding Activity". The chapter is mainly about Kyoko and Jin spending Father's Day to fully mend the rift between them, though it's mainly awkward on Kyoko's end due it really being the first time the two of them really spent anytime alone together. Eventually, the awkwardness eventually dissipates.
- Call-Back: When Makoto, Sayaka, and Leon hang out in his and Kyoko's room to play Super Smash Bros., Kiki brings up how he and Kyoko had previously fought over his Gamecube.
