After Felix Wilson admits sleeping with Malia, he and his family hide behind lawyers to keep the police from questioning them any further. However, the detectives uncover evidence linking Hal Wilson to the murder. Wilkie Collins and his wife end up murdered, and Falsone ends up bonding with Wilkie's son to find the killers.

This episode contains examples of:

  • Dirty Cop: Detective Bob Castleman, a former narcotics detective, turns out to have been working for the Mahoney family, and murders Wilkie and his wife on Georgia Mahoney's orders.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Hal was in love with Malia, and upset that she was sleeping with his father, which turned out to be his motive for murdering her.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Pembleton admits to Ballard he was wrong in how he handled the investigation, and she was right.
  • Multi-Part Episode: The final of three parts.
