- Animation Bump: Homestar gets some actual animation smears in the second Easter Egg, as a nod to The Dover Boys' famous use of the technique.

- Several of the contestants have introductory jingles based on songs associated with them. Coach Z's is based on "These Peoples Try To Fade Me", King of Town's is based on the music from the King of Town DVD menu, and the jingle for the Brothers Strong is the song from "Strong Bad Is A Bad Guy".

- Strange Minds Think Alike: Other than Marzipan (where he's clearly not trying) and the King of Town (where he comes up with something wildly different), the furthest Homestar comes from a character's guess is Coach Z (a Devo construction worker instead of a Devo crossing guard). For the other seven, no matter how absurd their guess, even when Bubs is prompted to guess a price, even when the Poopsmith gets a "guess" in the form of rambling gibberish from Homsar, Homestar guesses exactly what they predicted.
