"It Girl" provides examples of:

"Deconstructing Arnold" provides examples of:

  • An Aesop: When a person advise you not to do something bad, it doesn’t mean they are ruining your fun. They are simply looking out for you and not want you to do something that could get you in trouble.
  • Blame Game: When Helga advise Stinky and Harold to blame the bike prank on somebody else, they quickly point the blame at each other and cause a fight that injured Eugene even more.
  • Deadly Prank: Invert since Harold and Stinky prank on Eugene by tampering with his bike, they simply thought Eugene would fall off his bike. They didn’t expect the bike go out of control to the point Eugene got injured.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Rhonda prank Curly by writing a secret admirer letter to him. She didn’t realize using the same pen would make him realize it was her.
    • It happened again when Helga advice her to come on to Curly strong so he can leave her alone. It just made Curly fall in love with her even more.
  • Gone Horribly Wrong: Rhonda, Sid, Harold and Stinky each tell Arnold what they're going to do, and he warns them not to do it. Yet, they each throw caution to the wind. But just as Arnold predicted, it all goes horribly wrong. Rhonda pranks Curly with a letter from a "secret admirer", but he deduces it's her when he notices she's using the same pen, and falls in love with her. Sid wanted to play around with his friend's cellphone while he was gone, but then finds himself in hot water when he accidentally breaks it. As for Harold and Stinky pranking Eugene's bike? Well, with Eugene's luck, the joke goes even further than even Harold and Stinky anticipated.
  • Jerkass Realization: Rhonda, Sid, Harold and Stinky had this when Arnold reminded them that they agreed with Helga about him being a busybody and saying he’s sticking to his vow on not giving advices anymore.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: After telling Arnold to stay out of their business, Rhonda, Sid, Harold and Stinky’s plans backfired. When they go to Arnold, he reminded them that they agreed with Helga that Arnold buts in too much of their business.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Helga has this when she realize how making Arnold stop giving advices made everybody suffer in their problems. Even her own advices made everybody’s problems worst and how much Arnold’s advices are really needed.
    • Helga also got hit with this when she realize how her advices just made everything worst and her friends wanted to confront her about it.
  • Never My Fault: Rhonda, Sid, Stinky, and Harold blame Helga for causing Arnold to stop giving advices. Even though Arnold reminded them earlier that they chose to agree with Helga, they still decided to blame her anyway saying that she made them.
  • Strawman Hasa Point: When Arnold’s friends goes to him saying they need his help, he refuse to help them. He reminded all of them that they agree with Helga over him not minding his own business on what they do. It goes to show that Arnold isn’t a pushover and told them they are on their own since they didn’t want his help before.
  • Tooka Level In Jerkass: Helga, Sid, Stinky Harold and Rhonda toward Arnold when they believe all he does is ruin their fun. It later bite them back hard when their pranks backfired and Helga’s advice just made things worst.
