It's Valentine's Day in-universe, and since this manga is part Rom Com, you know what that means: all the characters who have been crushing on Hayate over the last 6 volumes will be trying to give him chocolates, and none of them are going to succeed on the first try. Nagi applies her inevitably-disastrous cooking skills to make her own chocolate, and eventually just has Hayate make some for her; Maria also cooks her own, but is repeatedly outdone by Hayate; Ayumu panics and gives him obligation chocolates instead; and Hinagiku withdraws after seeing that Ayumu had love chocolates the whole time.
This volume also formally introduces Ayumu's younger brother Kazuki Nishizawa, who has a crush on Nagi. His idea of a "date" is… doing completely ordinary things, meaning things that Nagi has probably never done before.
