Hakuou's Freestyle Marathon is on! Since the prize money is large enough to disrupt the status quo regardless of who wins it, it goes to Yukiji, who it turns out had enough standing debts for Hinagiku to justify withholding 99% of it from her. Since Hayate lost his wager with Klaus, he's forced to quit.
And thus begins the first Myth Arc story beyond the exposition: In order to restore his honor as a butler, Hayate gathers a few others (Nagi, Wataru, and Yukiji) and enters the Butler's Tiger Den, in search of a treasure found there. Isumi, knowing that there are dangers within it that Hayate might not be able to handle, brings over Hina and they both enter to assist, the former with her newly-introduced magic powersnote and the latter with the enchanted wooden sword Masamune on loan from the former.
