For this episode, Lumpy is a mailmoose and today's route proves to be tough as a monstrous, but tiny tortoise is hot on his tail and his frequent mail mix-ups are only slowing him down.
"Letter Late Than Never" contains the following:
- Cruel and Unusual Death:
- Giggles has her sweater shrink so tightly that it strangles her and causes her head to fly off her body like a balloon.
- Cub is shoved into a mailslot while in a box and comes out as a flattened pizza of blood and organs.
- After having his bones broken and his body mangled from a terrible fall, Lumpy is finally caught by the tortoise and sequentially eaten.
- Fingore: Toothy's tortoise bites Lumpy's finger.
- Fluffy the Terrible: An angry pet tortoise chases after Lumpy for the entire episode.
- Fold-Spindle Mutilation: The tortoise’s shell is too small for Lumpy to fit in. Doesn’t stop it from still dragging lumpy inside, breaking his body further and crushing him while it devours him.
- Hope Spot: While being eaten by the tortoise, Lumpy sees his pepper spray. He manages to get ahold of it…only to accidentally spray himself in the eyes again, right before he gets eaten.
- New Job as the Plot Demands: Lumpy is a mailman.
- Rake Take: Happens to Lumpy the first time he tries to escape from the turtle.
- They Killed Kenny Again: Giggles, Cub, and Lumpy die.
- Throw the Dog a Bone: Pop and Cuddles survive.
- Unstoppable Mailman: Lumpy tries his darnedest to keep going and deliver the mail no matter what. Unfortunately, since he's in Happy Tree Friends, the universe happily challenges him.
