"My hair! What are you, blind!?"
"Don't split hairs!"

Airdate: December 10, 2006

After waking up and getting ready to meet the ladies as usual, Disco Bear discovers that his fro has a burned tuft of hair sticking out. He hits up the barber shop to get his hair done, but to his dismay, his barber is The Mole, who chops off his entire hairdo. With a bald head, the ladies find Disco Bear a laughing stock, leading him to discover unconventional ways to gain a full head of hair again.

"Easy Comb, Easy Go" contains the following:

  • Advertised Extra: Lumpy is listed as a starring role but only appears briefly at the beginning and end.
  • Baldness Angst: The entire plot revolves around Disco Bear trying to get his hair back, as being bald doesn't impress Giggles or Petunia.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death:
    • Nutty's head gets impaled on a water sprinkler.
    • Pop thinks that Cub's sudden growth of hair is a piece of shrubbery that he's cutting; he cuts it off with his shears... along with the top half of Cub's head.
    • Cuddles accidentally consumes some of the formula and throws up a hairball that has his internal organs. Then more hair grows inside him until he chokes to death.
  • A Day in the Limelight: Instead of being a hindrance who only kickstarts the plot, Disco Bear is the protagonist who suffers the conflict in this episode.
  • Eye Scream: Once the hair growth formula gets splashed on his eyes, Disco Bear finds a hair growing on his pupil and ends up tugging it out painfully as it leaves behind a bloody hole. Then hair covers both of his eyes, blinding him. He chops it all off along with the surface of his eyeballs.
  • Gag Haircut: Disco Bear loses all of his hair except for his sideburns thanks to a botched haircut by the Mole. When he tries to impress Giggles and Petunia after they fawn over Mime's new purple afro wig, they all laugh and point at Disco Bear instead for his lack of an afro.
  • Global Warming: Disco Bear's hair dryer is so environmentally unfriendly that the smoke it produces immediately makes a hole in the ozone layer. Toothy gets vaporized by the sun's hot rays when he stands under the hole, and Disco Bear's afro gets a singed strand of hair when he stands under the very same hole, which kicks off the plot of the whole episode.
  • Human Pincushion: Handy is impaled by Flaky's quills as they suddenly grow uncontrollably thanks to the hair formula.
  • New Job as the Plot Demands: Toothy is a mailman, The Mole is a barber, and Sniffles runs a cotton candy stand.
  • Pun-Based Title: The title is a reference to the phrase "easy come, easy go".
  • Rapid Hair Growth: The hair growth formula manages to give Flaky, Cub, Cuddles and Disco Bear more hair, with varying results of getting killed.
  • Tear Off Your Face: The lower half of Lumpy's face is cut off thanks to the Mole's blindsided barber techniques. Lumpy puts on some aftershave when the Mole is finished, but needless to say, when it comes into contact with the exposed muscle tissue, it hurts like hell.
  • They Killed Kenny Again: Cub, Cuddles, Handy, Nutty, and Toothy die.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: Lifty, Shifty, Disco Bear, Lumpy, the Mole, Sniffles, Russell, Flaky, Pop, Mime, Petunia, and Giggles survive. This episode is notable for having the highest amount of surviving characters. Other episodes that have this amount of characters appear tend to kill nearly all of them.
  • Too Dumb to Live: After having quite a bit of evidence that the hair tonic causes hair growth on any surface, Disco Bear proceeds to dunk his entire head in his bath tub filled with it. This directly leads to him having hair growing on his eyeballs.
