Freeza just wants to talk, and not about bad movies!

Tropes in this Episode:

  • Barbie Doll Anatomy: King Cold, like Freeza, has no genitals. Freeza still has questions about that.
  • Brick Joke: A twofer. Goz and Mez allow the MCMs to borrow movies for "water cooler talk", and King Cold is later seen talking to Cell while Freeza frets about who or what they're talking about. After the credits, the tail end of the conversation is shown, with them chatting about what qualifies as a bad sequel.
  • Call-Back:
    • King Cold shows up at the door naked, as he had mentioned "casual nudity" when telling the Ogres he'd be staying with them last episode.
    • Guldo uses "Za Warudo!" to summon steamrollers, note  though in this case it just summons Guru and they roll him around like a boulder.
  • Continuity Nod: Freeza’s lack of knowledge at how his species reproduces is brought up when King Cold points out their shared Barbie Doll Anatomy.
  • A Day in the Limelight: This episode focuses more on Freeza and his escalating daddy issues.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Freeza spills hot coffee on Raditz's face simply for taking it to King Cold.
  • Hypocrite: Freeza complains about King Cold opening his front door without wearing clothes, even though Freeza himself doesn't wear clothes in his final form.
  • Parental Neglect: Freeza wants to talk to King Cold about what happened during the Trust Fall exercise, but King Cold is too busy working on his arena and socializing with Cell.
  • Racist Grandpa: King Cold refers to the Ginyu Force as "the Coloreds" because of their individual skin colors, although he does treat them fairly cordially anyways, including Guldo (who is "normal", by his standard). Though he does thank Guldo for bringing him coffee, doing so in an unknown alien language, to which Guldo attempts to tell him he doesn't speak said language.
  • Sequelitis: In-Universe. Goz and Mez have established a practice of allowing the MCMs to rent movies, except the only movies available are bad sequels. However, their definition of a "bad sequel" seems to be pretty arbitrary (or they assumed that simply being a third installment in a franchise automatically makes a movie "bad") as it's mentioned that Die Hard with a Vengeance is an option but not Die Hard 2, while Robocop 2 has been skipped over for Robocop 3.
