Spaghetti Syndrome

After finishing up a cleanup job for the Erste Kingdom, an engineer and his robot sidekick receives a new message giving his next directive: Locate Agent Cassius and bring him back to the moon. For Isaac, he's more interested in the "bring him back to the moon" part as it gives him an opportunity to go to the moon like he wanted.

Isaac is not the only one that is trying to get Cassius as the Society gives their orders to bring him in for questioning and a woman who is aware of Cassius's moondweller origins confronts him.

Tropes

  • Hoist by His Own Petard: During Society's mission to capture Cassius, they used a jamming device that incapacitates the weapon contractors. Isaac later repairs the device and uses it against Society's Central Commander.
  • My Hovercraft Is Full of Eels: Grace tries to converse with Cassius via the moon language, only to be met with confusion. His questions in moon language is enough to convince him that Grace doesn't understand the language at all.
  • I Ate WHAT?!: Grace shares her meal with Isaac, which is the remains of her pet that is of Otherworld origin. Isaac pukes it out after learning what he ate.
  • Idiot Ball: After Cassius refuses to head back to the moon, Isaac made a big blunder asking it again right in front of the crew, outing his own ties to the moon as well.
  • Sequel Hook: Isaac's bonus story is his transmission from the moon detailing his situation and pleads for help.
  • Sword of Plot Advancement: Cassius's spear, Yek, becomes this due to it being the closest thing that can provide rocket flight control, something Isaac and CENTCOM wanted to achieve.
  • Torture Is Ineffective: CENTCOM orders this to the Society on Cassius for information about his spear. Cassius takes the whole thing way too calmly that even the narration points out that the interrogators forgot about their job and are just trying to get a reaction from him.
