Old Bond

One day, Fediel suddenly takes the Captain, Vyrn, and Lyria to a specific food stall, run by a tall man in vermillion with a little azure girl as one of his customers. Turns out they're the Six Dragons in mortal form and want Vyrn's power for one purpose.

Back on the Grandcypher, Shinsha, Nectar, Kushina, and Ugusu are all planning to head for breakfast when they find a cat along the way. Deducing it to not be the same cat the Captain is personally taking care of, the four takes it along with them for questions, only to find the Captain's room to be empty.

Tropes

  • Bookends: The beginning of the event has Fediel's trial, which consists of the Captain asking Lyria go on a date. The event ends with the Captain asking Vyrn to go on a date.
  • Heroic Resolve: Subverted. While the Captain taps in to a new power during Lu Woh's trial, their body is unable to handle it and passes out just as quick.
  • Heroic RRoD: Because Wilnas is not used to his human form, he doesn't take into account of the basic needs like water and rest, causing him to end with a heatstroke.
  • Sequel Hook: The Six Dragons brings up one individual that's supposed to be the wedge of life and death, yet somehow disappeared. Cue a Sneeze Cut done by Nectar.
  • Out-of-Character Alert: Despite winning a game of sugoroku for her trial, Wamdus oddly calls for another game. Combining this with her forgetting to eat leads to Mugen thinking it's not her stomach that's empty, but her heart.
  • Stalker without a Crush: Due to the nature of Fediel's trial, she, along with Vyrn and Seofon, tag along the Captain's and Lyria's date to check their progress. Vyrn even lampshades why do they have to be sneaky in the first place.
  • Willfully Weak: Part of the reason Wilnas suffered from a heatstroke is because he was trying to imitate the human body the best he could. Putting in some of his dragon powers would've cleared his exhaustion instantly.
