The second of two tribute episodes to the Beatles features the McKinley prom: when Tina is named one of the nominees for prom queen, she campaigns in a way that jeopardizes her relationship with her friends in glee club. Though she wins, Tina's triumph is sabotaged by Bree (Erinn Westbrook), a "mean girl" cheerleader. Rachel and Santana make a new friend at the diner where they work: a struggling artist named Dani (Demi Lovato), who is attracted to Santana and vice versa. Kurt gets a job at the diner. Sam is attracted to the new school nurse, a college sophomore named Penny Owen (Phoebe Strole). Rachel is cast in Funny Girl.
Next Time: It's the one tribute episode we never wanted.

Tropes
- Actor Allusion:
- Had Dianna Agron been in it, of course, her character's name would be the only word omitted from the song-reference title of the episode containing a song she is known for covering ("Hey Jude").
- Kevin McHale is also well known for covering "Let It Be", as is Jenna Ushkowitz to a lesser extent. They both solo on it.
- Moving on, Santana's Yeast-i-Stat commercial has a slogan ("I want yeast in my bagel, not in my muffin") very reminiscent of the one for M&Ms ("Melts in your mouth, not in your hands"). Naya Rivera did the (2013) M&Ms commercials.
- Afraid of Needles: Sam, although somewhat Justified after seeing what she does with it before he gives it to her.
- Call-Forward: This will not be the last time that Kitty loans clothes she is wearing to someone in need.
- The Cameo: Nurse Penny played by Phoebe Strole.
- Depraved Bisexual: Santana believes this is the reason her relationship with Brittany ended. It. Was. Not.
- Prom Wrecker: Bree does this to Tina after the latter is voted Prom Queen.
- Running Gag: Tina's song gets cut short. Someone makes fun of Sam's nipples.
- Shout-Out: Guess where the prank of dumping red goo all over the prom queen was inspired from.
