"Beware the Cute Student Teacher!" (or "Who's the New TA?") is the third episode of Futari wa Pretty Cure.
Pisard poses as a student teacher to sneak into Verone Academy and destroy the Cures.
Tropes:
- Bait-and-Switch: Nagisa sees Fuji-P running in her direction and thinks he's come to see her. Turns out he was looking for his friend, who she didn't see behind her.
- Big Friendly Dog: Chuutaro is very pleased to meet Nagisa and Mepple, and gives them big doggy kisses.
- Cultural Translation: Pisard is a student teacher in the Japanese version and a teacher's assistant in the English version. Oddly, Canada (the country where the English dub was made) does have student teachers working in middle and high schools.
- Dub Name Change: Pisard's teacher alias, Mr. Kazama, is renamed to Mr. Komodo in the English dub.
- Dull Eyes of Unhappiness: Ms. Yoshimi has these while under Pisard's influence.
- Girls Love Chocolate: In the English On the Next segment, Nagisa pleads to Honoka to at least bring some chocolate to eat at the museum.
- Luminescent Blush: Nagisa gets very blushy for various embarrassments in the first few minutes.
- Questioning Title?: The English title, "Who's the New TA?"
- Wide Eyes and Shrunken Irises: Nagisa gets these when her teacher calls on her when she wasn't listening.
- Wingding Eyes: Ms. Yoshimi gets these while fawning over "Mr. Kazama".
