Rachel helps Joey practice his lines for Days of Our Lives and finds herself falling for him. Chandler has to share a pre-booked romantic getaway for him and Monica with Ross after she can't go. Monica tries to get Phoebe to stop singing her inappropriate songs at her new restaurant.

- Berserk Button: Never tell Phoebe to not play her songs at your restaurant or else she will go on a tirade.
- Comically Missing the Point: Monica tries to dissuade Phoebe from performing outside her restaurant by saying the place is "classy" and she doesn't fit. So, Phoebe dresses up in "classy" clothes while playing the same songs.
- Daytime Drama Queen: Monica briefly gets distracted when Rachel is explaining her dream because she mentions some of the plot twists she saw when she visited the set of Days of Our Lives with Joey.
- Did Not Think This Through: Ross is showing Chandler how to properly steal from the hotel, and as he explains how it's ok to take salt, but not the salt-shaker itself, he pours salt from the shaker into his hands. He says "I wish I'd thought this through" as he realizes he should've found something else besides his palm to put the salt in first.
- Disproportionate Retribution: Phoebe insults Monica's cooking and even goes as far to spitefully drive off the customers just because Monica politely asked her to not play at her restaurant.
- Erotic Dream: Rachel has a dream where she kisses Joey, which makes her realize that she has feelings for him.
- Stealing from the Hotel: Ross and Chandler decide to do this because the hotel ripped them off. Ross, who has practice stealing from hotels, teaches Chandler the finer points. By the time they check out Ross' suitcase is so full of stolen items that it bursts open in the lobby.Ross: No, Chandler, you have to find the line between stealing and taking what the hotel owes you. For example: hair drier, no, no, no, but shampoo and conditioners, yes, yes, yes. (pause) Now, the salt shaker is off-limits, but the salt (he opens the salt shaker and pours the salt into his hand) I wish I'd thought this through.
Chandler: I think I know what you mean though...the lamp is the hotel's, but the bulbs (goes to take the bulb)...oh, you already got that.
Ross: Not my first time in a hotel, my friend.
Chandler: Ok, how about this (picks up the remote control)?
Ross: No, no, no, you can't take the remote control!
Chandler: Yes, but the batteries...
(Ross claps his hands) - Sweet Tooth: Ross eats so much Maple Candy he becomes extremely hyperactive from all the sugar. He even eats the candy Chandler bought as a present for Monica.
- Trick Dialogue: Rachel catches Joey practicing his lines on a pineapple.Rachel: I don't wanna stand in the way of true love or anything, but I think a cantaloupe might hurt less.
