Two of FOX's biggest animated sitcom protagonists, Peter Griffin and Homer Simpson rap against each other in a battle of Bumbling Dads.
This rap battle contains examples of the following— errrrr, what’s the word... tropes!
- Back from the Dead: Played With. At the end of the battle, Homer implies that Frank Grimes has come back from the dead, but he is only shown as a ghost. Either way, it's more a metaphor for Family Guy (both can be abbreviated to FG) who came back from cancellation.
- Continuity Nod: During Homer's second verse, Fall Guys player character can be seen in space, since he has been ejected at the end of "Among Us vs. Fall Guys".
- The Ditherer: Family Guy killing of Brian and quickly bringing him back is illustrated with Mr. Burns changing his mind about the same thing in a span of seconds.Mr. Burns: "Replace the hound!" [Brian dies] "OK, now bring back the hound" [Brian lives again]
- Seasonal Rot: In-universe, both Peter and Homer take shots on how their opponent's show's later installments are no longer as good as their earlier ones.
- Staircase Tumble: Homer falls down the same stairs where Peter once fell too, just in time for Peter's line "You made steps then fell down the fucking staircase!"
- Take That!: Homer (hypocritically) remarks that Family Guy having many problems isn't surprising because it is run by FOX.
- They Copied It, Now It Sucks: In-universe. Peter mocks Homer as a dumber copy of Fred Flintstone. In turn, Homer derides Peter as just a stitches of various characters, including Homer himself.
- Time Machine: Homer pushes Peter to his son's time machine so he can travel back and see how fun his show used to be.
- Toilet Humor: Peter farts right before Homer says "Fart jokes won't cloud my legacy."
