Recap / Freshy Kanal Bob Ross Vs Bob The Builder

Go To

Two Bobs have filled television with their creations: Bob the Builder and Bob Ross the painter. Now, they're rapping against each other in a rap battle. However, the April Fools release date of this battle causes them to behave much more aggresively than usual.

This rap battle contains examples of:

  • April Fools' Day: Portraying both polite Bobs as Sir Swears-a-Lot would only be done because it is an April Fools joke.
  • Boring Insult: Bob the Builder calls Bob Ross' show so boring it's "like watching paint drying."
  • Borrowed Catchphrase: Bob the Builder combines Ross' catchphrases "just a happy accident" and "happy little ___" into "happy little accident" when describing Ross' first son.
  • Chalk Outline: Referenced when angry Bob Ross threatens to kill his opponent and uses the blood to "line the dead chalk".
  • Cluster F-Bomb: The change in tone in the second half is signified by Bob the Builder saying the F-word in his first two lines, followed by being rude and adding swear words to his lines. Meanwhile, Bob Ross' similarly vulgar verse starts with his bad angel saying "Nah, fuck that shit! Beat the devil out of that motherfucker!"
  • Out of Character: Played for Laughs. Both Bobs act very rude and vulgar in the second half, absolutely nothing like how they act in TV; the Builder boasts that he doesn't care for the nature while Ross claims he banged the Builder's wife.
  • Shout-Out: Bob Ross in the second half claimed he "painted" Bob the Builder's wife in Fifty Shades of Titanium White.
  • Vulgar Humor: The humor in the second half is derived from both Bobs being very crass.
