• Adaptational Curves/Adaptational Attractiveness: Because of Kairi's Adaptational Badass, Xion's womanly curves are more pronounced than in canon, since Sora's memories of Kairi are now compatibile with Vexen's goal of creating a Keyblade Wielder.
• Adaptational Jerkass: Demyx, who considers Xion a Mary Sue. If anyone is to blame for her being The Chew Toy, it's him and Xigbar, but Xigbar was already a big jerk to Xion.
• Ax-Crazy: Emerl, when he learned Roxas and Xion can't coexist. He goes on a rampage on The World That Never Was and steals Xemnas' Kingdom Hearts and the devices meant to help Xion absorb Roxas, all while constantly yelling everyone to let Roxas and Xion be together.
• Big Damn Heroes: After her defeat at Riku's hands, Xion is saved by Emerl, who copies Riku's powers and turns darkness, once again, against him. And unlike with Riku, Ansem couldn't posses Emerl, due to his heart being far too strong.
  • He later does it again by stealing the Organization devices and using them on himself, effectively halting Xion's absorbtion of Roxas and Sora.
• Big Good: Emerl usurps this role from Diz and Riku, bringing a White character in a Black-and-Grey Morality.
• Foreshadowing: In the battle between Roxas and Metallix, Dark Impetus plays. This foreshadows Sonic's battle with Young Xehanort, as Metallix is a roboticized Bad Future version of Sonic.
• Idiot Ball: According to Emerl, Xion took the ball when Xemnas made her go Ax-Crazy, because she "[made] the decision to die", which is "something only an idiot does".
• Licensed Game: The Merger Magikoopa stated what would happen if this series was a game.
  • Aside from the main gameplay, Metallix Troopers will appear in nearly every mission, and they'd be Demonic Spiders: they'd be extremely tough, and they'd slay the Heartless in your stead, which would be good, except the Heartless slain by the Metallix Troopers don't give hearts.
• O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Emerl being Ax-Crazy is clearly out of character for him, but considering that Emerl believes that Xion's death is not the right way to awake Sora, since it will make Roxas forget her, and everyone else believing it as the only way, it's completely justified for Emerl to go insane.
• Spared By Adaptation: Thanks to Emerl's usage of the Organization's devices, the absorbtion process was halted indefinitely, effectively allowing Xion to stay with Roxas and join Sora together.
• Take a Third Option: Enforced; Xion's two option is to goad Roxas into killing her to stop Xemnas, or to absorb Roxas and let Xemnas have it his way. Emerl forces Xion to hide on Mobius, where Xemnas can't get to her (since the Organization can't get in Knothole due to the high number of Metallix Troopers there), by stealing the Xemnas' devices and using them on himself.
• Wild Card: Luxord, fitting his nature as The Gambler.
