Frasier becomes jealous of Niles after he lands a job as the arts critic for upper-class magazine The Monocle. His attempts to butter up the station owner's obnoxious daughter Poppy in order to convince her to let him do a radio show on the arts backfires horribly.
Tropes:
- The Ditz: Poppy who is blissfully unaware of how annoying others find her due to her Motor Mouth tendencies, and doesn't pick up on Frasier's blatantly obvious hints that she should influence her mother into letting Frasier do an arts show until Daphne bluntly tells her.
- Desperately Looking for a Purpose in Life: Poppy, who states that she's drifted from one of her mother's businesses to another looking for one that suits her. She's about to do the same thing and leave KACL (much to everyone's relief) when Frasier accidentally gives her the idea to become the station's art critic.
- Motor Mouth: Poppy never shuts up, and basically seems to say every single thought that passes through her head no matter how inane.
