To choose wrongly will mean woe.
Cade suspects an alien influence while investigating a casino on a Native American Reservation.
Tropes:
- Bounty Hunter: Cade has a price on his head, and is cornered more than once by a bounty hunter.
- Corrupt Corporate Executive: Alex, a Native American businessman claiming to have nothing but respect for the culture, and that the casinos he's trying to build will bring jobs and other benefits to the reservation. In fact he's a Gua agent working to corrupt human culture, using the Winchala tribe as a model.
- No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: After asking a few too many questions, Cade is jumped by a couple of guys. He's rescued by a Native American guardian spirit in the form of a wolf. This rescue is what persuades Lonetree to work with him against Alex.
- Prejudice Aesop: Lonetree is deeply prejudiced against white people (not exactly without reason, as the episode makes clear) and will have nothing to do with Cade at first. However, by the end of the episode he's realised that hate is toxic and that such petty differences between humans only play into Gua hands.
