Joshua investigates the attempted murder of his superior while evading suspicions about his own activities.
Tropes:
- A Day in the Limelight: This episode is focused entirely on Gua politics. Cade and Eddie appear only in flashback.
- Blackmail: Alicia, the Gua scientist in charge of the husks, regularly sends female husks along to high-ranking officials' rooms when they visit. She also keeps meticulous records which she uses as insurance.
- Corrupt Politician: The Minister. Openly preaches the prohibition against sexual activity except in the line of duty, but has an attractive female husk sent along to his room.
- "Freaky Friday" Flip: The minister is swapped with Joshua's friend, human sympathiser Trent. The minister is publically executed in Trent's husk, while Trent goes back to the Gua homeworld in his place.
- Would Not Hurt A Child: Trent is suspected as a human sympathiser because he refused to conduct experiments on children, claiming they had no scientific value.
