While Gary, Quinn, and Bolo head to Wisconsin in a last ditch effort to activate the KVN net, Lord Commander diverts his attention when he discovers that his chance to become a Titan lays deep inside the Earth.
This episode provides examples of:
- Act of True Love: Why is Sheryl staying with Gary and the gang when she could’ve left to look for John? Because even though she lost a husband once, she doesn’t "want to lose [her] son. Again."
- Character Development: While a brief moment, we see in this episode how Sheryl evolved from a cold, uncaring Manipulative Bitch from season 2 into a loving mother, choosing to stay with Gary instead of looking for John; she states that she doesn't want to lose her son again as the two embrace.
- Downer Ending: Earth is destroyed for good, the KVN Network failed and Lord Commander managed to fuse with a Titan.
- Dragon with an Agenda: The moment the Lord Commander discovers a Titan within the Earth's crust, he betrays Invictus.
- Earth-Shattering Kaboom: Just moments before the KVN Network can finish linking up, Titan Lord Commander reaches out from the Earth and ultimately makes the planet and the KVN Network explode.
- Eye Awaken: The incubating Earth Titan's eyes snap open when the Lord Commander starts to merge with it.
- From Bad to Worse: The KVN units fail, and the Lord Commander successfully merges with the hatching Titan.
- Heroic Sacrifice: The original Kevin sacrifices himself to detonate the Earth's core.
- Hope Spot: Right as it seems the crew's gotten the upper hand against Invictus and the Titans with the KVN Net activated and the bomb that was stored in the Galaxy Two going off attached to the Lord Commander's ship, it's too late; the Lord Commander merges with the incubating Titan anyway and destroys the Earth and the KVN Net in one fell swoop, setting our heroes back further than ever before.

- One-Winged Angel: The Lord Commander succeeds in his plan of merging with the Titan within the Earth's core.

- The Reveal: We finally discover why the Titans pulled Earth into Final Space, and what was causing tremors on Earth during the last episode: they use planet cores to breed new Titans, and Lord Commander discovers that one is growing within Earth's core, ready to hatch soon.
- Scary Stinging Swarm: How Invictus-possessed Gary zombies attack Bolo; they overwhelm him and begin biting into his flesh which, while it doesn't seem to do much damage, does annoy and hurt him.
- Senseless Sacrifice: Kevin's Heroic Sacrifice was for nothing, as the KVN Network is destroyed and Lord Commander succeeded to fuse with a Titan.
- The Starscream: As soon as the Lord Commander learns there is a Titan in the Earth's core, he betrays Invictus and abandons his plans to capture Mooncake. Instead drilling to the Earth's core to merge with the Titan while claiming he will rule the universe without Invictus.
