In celebration of Peter and Lois' anniversary, the Griffins recount their own versions of three well-known love stories.
Tropes:
- Acting for Two: An In-Universe one during the Fatal Attraction segment, in which Beth and Alex are both portrayed by Lois.
- Anachronism Stew: If a historical Trojan War took place, it did so centuries before the life on Socrates, who is discussed by Stewie and Chris. They also discuss Pythagoras in the present tense. Pythagoras and Socrates were never alive at the same time, and neither lived during the Trojan War.
- Big Damn Heroes: Stewie at the end of the Fatal Attraction segment.
- Framing Device: The rest of the episode is set to Peter and Lois picking up sex items to celebrate their anniversary and attending an Eyes Wide Shut party.
- Funny Background Event: At the beginning of the episode while Peter is talking, Carl can be seen trying to scan a censored dildo.
- Shout-Out:
- Chris tries to imitate American Pie by masturbating with a tin of chicken pot pie. Because it was fresh out of the oven, he burns his crotch.
- At the Capulet party, Peter (as Romeo) claims to be Abe Froman: the Sausage King of Chicago.
- Soundtrack Dissonance: A Running Gag throughout the Fatal Attraction segment.
- Take That!:
- In the Helen of Troy segment, Peter assumes they're allowed to show Hercules now that they're owned by Disney. They can't, and he is dismayed that they are allowed to show Launchpad McQuack instead.
- In the Romeo & Juliet segment, Lois (as Juliet), decides she'd rather drink poison than get involved in Herbalife.
- Whole-Plot Reference: To Helen of Troy, Romeo And Juliet, and Fatal Attraction.
