  • The Bus Came Back: Elliot is seen among the crowd watching Lexi's play.
  • Dirty Coward: Cassie hides in her bathroom from Maddy when Rue exposes the fact that she's been sleeping with Nate. Even when Maddy tearfully and angrily demands an explanation over her actions, even bringing up the We Used to Be Friends line, Cassie remains unresponsive, leading Maddie to call her a coward for not owning up to what she did or even have the guts to face her.
  • Faceā€“Heel Turn: Cassie fully completes this by the time this episode comes as she goes from a weak, docile girl to a cruel and borderline-sociopathic Alpha Bitch.
  • For the Evulz: Cassie flaunts her relationship with Nate to Maddy for no reason than her own sick amusement.
  • Know When to Fold 'Em: Leslie tells Rue she's doe overseeing her drug use. When she turns 18, she will be an adult and out of her house and might as well do anything she feels like, including any drugs she wants to use, because Leslie now needs to focus on Gia, who is getting into detention, losing sleep, falling behind in school and clearly traumatized by her older sister's violent behavior. Leslie tells her bluntly that she can't convince Rue to value her own life as long as she doesn't want to, and the focus she gives to Rue is missing when focusing on Gia, so she will focus on the daughter she is most likely to be able to save. If she is unable to save both daughters at the same time, Leslie will not hesitate to see to Gia's own wellbeing.
  • Not Afraid of You Anymore: Cassie gives this look to Maddy when walking down with Nate in the hallway, telling her that she isn't scared of her wrath anymore and proves herself to be more cunning and ruthless.
  • To Be Continued: The episode ends with Nate breaking up with Cassie over Lexi's play due to being offended by the homoerotic portrayal of him, angrily telling her to pack her things and get out of his house. Cue the phrase coming up as Cassie is about to give the performance of her life.
  • Was It Really Worth It?: Maddy asks Cassie, who locks herself in the bathroom, this question about her relationship with Nate.
