The director planned to make 4 million clones, approximately there's hundreds or thousands of them.
After the gang sees The Big Named Monster at the cinema, the director of said movie, Christopher Bingbong gets angry because they were its only viewers. So he decides to make four million clones of them, which then run amuck.
This episode contains examples of
- Big Bad: Christopher Bingbong, the Evil Director, though he's delightfully incompetent.
- Big Damn Heroes: When the clones are about to kill Edd for killing one of their Edds, the original Matt, Tord and Tom all come to his rescue.
- Body Horror: Played for Laughs with some of the "rejected" clones. One is a Matt with a photo-realistic head, one is a scribbly version of Tom, one is a fusion of Tom and Tord, another is a visibly troubled fusion of all the boys and one is a Tom who doesn't think the Director's jokes are funny.
- Clone Degeneration: The clones are all crazier and dumber than the originals.
- Cloudcuckoolander: Bing seems to have some screws loose.
- Cloudcuckoolander's Minder: As a result of the above, Larry has to act as this.
- Disproportionate Retribution: The Clones are on both sides of this trope. Early on, they burn down an arcade (and implicitly kill its employees) for giving them a lousy prize, and later, Edd kills one of them for taking the cola can in his hand.
- The Dragon: Larry, to Bing.
- Establishing Character Moment: This is the first appearance of Hellucard, who establishes his character by saying hi to a slew of Edd clones, remaining blissfully unaware that anything is wrong.
- Eyepatch of Power: Larry has an eyepatch for some reason.
- In Touch with His Feminine Side: One Tom clone keeps saying girly things, prompting the other clones to throw him in the trash.
- Naked People Are Funny: One of the Edd clones is naked for no reason other than humor.
- Only Sane Man: Larry. He eventually gets fed up with it.Larry: HOW DO YOU MORONS EVEN BREATHE!?
- Running Gag: A Tom getting thrown in the trash. First for suggesting they go shoe shopping, second for suggesting they go kitten shopping, and third for suggesting they kill one of the last two Matts.
- Sole Survivor: A Matt clone survives and ends up replacing Tom.
- What Measure Is a Mook?: Downplayed and Zigzagged as they aren't exactly normal mooks, but the clones do come by the dozen. The boys are amicable enough with them around. Then they take all of Edd's cola, and an Edd clone takes a can from his hand. Bloodbath ensues.
- Zerg Rush: The clones. There's four million of them and they run around wreaking havoc.
