The second of two "lost episodes" that made up the shortened season 6, aired on June 29, 2008 alongside sister episode "May I Have This Ed?".
Jimmy, after many snow mishaps, starts a safety club with Edd, but Ed and Eddy's antics continually hinder their plans.
"Look Before You Ed" includes examples of:
- An Aesop: It's important to be careful, but don’t go too far.
- Bittersweet Ending: Jimmy gets angry over the other Eds' antics interfering with him and Edd's safety club, and leaves to start his own after trapping the Eds in an ice-covered cage. That said, Ed does manage to get Eddy out of the cage using his Hibachi Man breath with the implication they were able to escape the cage. This is the final time the Eds have a bad ending.
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: At the end, when Rolf finally appeared, which is the only part he appeared in, he felt "safe enough to appear in this episode."
- Danger — Thin Ice: Edd tries to save Sarah and Nazz from falling through the ice, despite them skating on a frozen puddle.
- Hydrant Geyser: Jimmy crashes on a hydrant buried in snow. It then bursts open and a spray of water sends Jimmy upward; it then freezes over, trapping Jimmy in a column of ice.
- Impact Silhouette: Ed crashes into a light post, leaving a dent in the shape of his head.
- Out of Focus: Rolf doesn't appear in the episode until the last scene for unknown reasons. He even lampshades it.
- Pathetically Weak: Sarah tries to teach Jimmy how to make snow angels, but Jimmy's arms aren't strong enough to move in the snow.
- Potty Emergency: When the Eds get locked up, Eddy has to use the bathroom, only to not when they finally get out.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Jimmy gives to the Eds when he gets fed up with Ed and Eddy's disruptive antics and Edd constantly letting them off too easily:Jimmy: ENOUGH! ENOUGH I SAY!! This club is a farce! I was a fool to believe you three bores could enforce safety in the schoolyard! I know what this school needs protecting from, and my club will succeed where this peanut gallery failed!
Ed Yum. Peanuts. - Safety Worst: Edd and Jimmy start a safety club to enforce winter safety in the schoolyard. While they do get overzealous at times (like when they try to save Sarah and Nazz from falling through the ice on a frozen puddle), it's mostly Ed and Eddy's antics that wreak havoc at the school.
- Start My Own: Jimmy starts his own safety club after his and Edd's plans are constantly thwarted by Ed and Eddy's shenanigans.
- Tongue on the Flagpole: Eddy's tongue gets stuck to the ice bars on Jimmy's improvised cage.
