Gyro builds a gynoid maid named Robotica who falls in love with Gizmoduck.

This episode contains examples of the following tropes:

  • Abhorrent Admirer: Even ignoring that he's in a relationship with Gandra, Fenton is outright unsettled by Robotica and her obsessive desire to have Gizmoduck in her arms.
  • Aborted Arc: Gyro originally builds Robotica to help Mrs. Beakly watch the kids. That's completely forgotten about when Gizmoduck enters the picture.
  • A.I. Is a Crapshoot: Gyro makes a robot maid. She quickly turns into a Stalker with a Crush on Gizmoduck. She does not react well to his lack of interest and goes ballistic once she, correctly, starts to suspect that there is another woman.
  • An Aesop: It's good to show a loved one you care with thoughtful gifts and gestures, but don't overdo it.
  • The Cameo: Bubba makes a few brief appearances, making this the only time both he and Gizmoduck show up in the same episode.
  • Chocolate of Romance: See the "Singing Chocolates".
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Robotica.
  • Continuity Nod: At the beginning of the episode one of the nephews is wearing Donald's sailor outfit from the first season.
  • Gone Horribly Right: When Robotica's initial monotone behavior disturbs everyone, Gyro gives her a Personality Chip. Unfortunately, she ends up becoming an emotional Yandere as a result.
  • Grand Romantic Gesture: The episode is full of them, as Fenton Crackshell's over the top grand romantic gestures drive Gandra Dee to distraction:
    • He fills her house with bouquets of roses. Unfortunately, Gandra Dee is allergic to Roses.
    • He buy lunch for her at work, in the blue collar Duckburg Bean Factory. The lunch is a candlelit gourmet meal, complete with a mariachi band for musical accompaniment.
    • He hires the "Singing Chocolates" to give Gandra Dee an enormous amount of candy:
    Singing Chocolates:
    Oh, we're the singing chocolates,
As sweet as we can be,
    Fenton gives his love,
    To his sugar Gandra Dee!
Gandra: Oh, Fenton, you shouldn't have done it!
    • Fenton later buys Gandra Dee a two-story cake "with chocolate frosting, marshmallow topping and aluminum siding."
    • Fenton isn't the only one in the episode with grand romantic gestures. To declare her love for Gizmoduck, Robotica first paints R Loves G on Scrooge's money bin. Later, she attempts to destroy the money bin (and kill Gandra Dee) in an anguished declaration of love.
  • Halfway Plot Switch: The episode starts out with Gyro building Robotica as a nanny for the nephews and Webby. By the end of the first act this subplot is completely dropped as the kids disappear and the rest of the story entirely focuses on Fenton and his relationship troubles in both of his identities.
  • I Want My Mommy!: When Gizmoduck sees Robotica has flown into a full-blown rage, he runs off yelling "Mother!".
  • Murder the Hypotenuse: Robotica nearly kills Gandra and almost destroys the money bin to make sure Gizmoduck would be hers alone.
  • Not Good with Rejection: While in the Tunnel of Love, Gizmoduck tries to let Robotica down gently that they should see other people. Unfortunately, she interprets it as him having another lover, and literally explodes in a rage.
  • "Not So Different" Remark: Fenton comes to realize that, eventual drive to homicide aside, he doesn't behave too differently with his crush on Gandra than Robotica, and his troubles get him to see why she seems more offput by him going overboard on the affection rather than happy.
  • Parental Bonus: Not many kids would get what the title is a Shout-Out to or why.
  • Shout-Out:
    • The title is presumably a reference to Fatal Attraction.
    • The singing chocolates song is sung to the tune of "The Merry Go Round Broke Down"
  • Stalker with a Crush: Robotica again.
  • Third Time's The Charm: Gyro finally gets Robotica's personality right on his third attempt.
  • Two-Timer Date: Fenton is forced to reluctantly be both sides of a double date at the same time with Robotica and Gandra at the carnival, requiring him to switch back and forth between his normal identity and that of Gizmoduck. When it starts putting way too much pressure on him, as Gizmoduck he ultimately decides to tell Robotica that despite what she thinks, he's not interested in her and he's seeing someone else. She doesn't react well.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Mrs. Beakly and the kids disappear once Robotica starts lusting after Gizmoduck.
  • Yandere: Robotica becomes very angry when Gizmoduck turns her down at least until the end.
