Dora and Boots go on an out-of-this-world adventure to help five stranded space creatures named Flinky, Inky, Plinky, Dinky, and Al get back home to the Purple Planet in outer space.

- Alphabetical Theme Naming: The space creatures (except for Al) are named Flinky, Inky, Plinky, and Dinky.
- Continuity Nod: This is the second time Map goes towards the places while he demonstrates the instructions after "Super Map!". Except this time, the screen shows a close up of Map's demonstrations. This wasn't put into permanent usage until "Dora's Easter Adventure".
- Determinator: Dora and Boots being in outer space with no way to reach them? Not a problem for Swiper. Somehow, he was spying on the two's blastoff offscreen and decided to follow them in a rocket ship of his own to swipe something from them.
- Oddball in the Series: This is the first episode of Season 3 without star catching.
- Odd Name Out: The space creatures are named Flinky, Inky, Plinky, Dinky, and Al.
