Diagnosises: Stuffedbellyitis, (Leakysniffleitis) Flu

Songs

  1. Time for Your Checkup
  2. Take Care

Doc enters her clinic and brings her toys to life. Stuffy and Lambie want to play, but Chilly thinks he needs a check-up because his belly is lumpy. Doc gives him one, but Lambie and Hallie notice that Doc is behaving unusually lethargically.

Doc tells Chilly that he's okay, but the toys ask if she is okay. She admits to feeling unwell, so they try to give her a check-up. They determine that something is ailing her, but don't know what, so tell her to visit Dr. McStuffins, who diagnoses her with the flu.

She puts her to bed, then the toys try to take care of her, but they keep failing, so instead they all decide to just take a nap. The next day, Doc has recovered.

This episode contains examples of:

  • Alternate Catchphrase Inflection: Doc says her catchphrase "The Doc Is In!" in a sleepy, unenthusiastic voice because she has the flu.
  • Caretaker Reversal: The toys try to help nurse Doc back to health, while noting that usually she's the one to take care of them.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: Doc spends most of the episode lethargic and sick, but by the end of it, she's back to normal.
  • Nose Nuggets: Stuffy thinks Doc's disease is "leakysniffleitis", with "leaky" referring to the runny nose.
  • Nurse with Good Intentions: The toys try to take care of Doc, but they keep bungling it up.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: The first signs that Doc has the flu are that, much to the toys' concerns, she's acting saggy and listless when she's usually a Genki Girl and getting confused about which tool to use when she's usually knowledgeable about that kind of thing.
  • Scary Science Words: Chilly is shocked by the term "itis" in his diagnosis, even though "stuffedbellyitis" is just a jokey way of saying he's a stuffed toy.
  • Sick Episode: For Doc; she has the flu.
  • Sneeze Interruption: Doc is trying to say she has a diagnosis about Chilly's soft belly, but can only say, "I have a di—" before sneezing.
  • Something Itis:
    • Doc diagnoses Chilly with "stuffedbellyitis".
    • Subverted for Doc, who is said to have "leakysniffleitis", but it turns out she has the flu instead.
