A Ryudamon who suddenly transformed into a small Gyukimon, an extremely dangerous Digimon who reproduces by winning a battle against other Digimon and turning them into copies of itself asked Hiro's father for help. He suggests Ryudamon to find his way to Hiro. Despite Angoramon's warnings, he brings Ryudamon with him to a natural science trip. However, Ryudamon's split personality takes over the day they arrive to the resort facility, turning everyone but the heroes into Gyukimon-like monsters...

- Midway into the episode, Ryudamon was fruitlessly trying to control its Gyukimon side. He eventually succumbs, and the heroes had to bail him out.
- When Niijima and Kotaro were transformed into Gyukimon-hybrids, they're obviously in agony trying to control their sanity. In fact, their only dialogue after being transformed are screams of agony and pain.
- Gameplay and Story Integration: In Vital Bracelet Digital Monster, Gyukimon was one of Ryudamon's possible evolutions (more accurately, it evolves from Ginryumon, Ryudamon's adult phase). It's implied that this Ryudamon Dark Digivolved into a Gyukimon on his own, rather than being bitten.
- How We Got Here: The episode starts with Hiro witnessing Niijima turning into a Gyukimon mid-episode. Then it transitions to the start of the episode where Hiro, Gammamon and Ryudamon were having a webcam meeting with Ruli and Angoramon.
- Life Saving Misfortune: Bringing Ryudamon to the island might be a mistake on Hiro's part, but if he left him alone and tried to send him to Bakumon (who was absent from his office for at least a day and a half), Gyukimon would go into a rampage in the city, which would cause way more casualities.
- Zombie Apocalypse: As soon as Hiro and Kiyoshiro arrive to the resort site, Ryudamon goes out of control and infects Niijima. Within a whole afternoon, every single person in there save for Hiro and Kiyoshiro themselves are infected and turning into Gyukimon. Thankfully, none of them barge out from the site and the heroes are able to fight Gyukimon three-to-one.
