Long Live the Legion is the 39th Episode of DC Universe Online

Summary:

In the far-flung 31st Century, Dream Girl of the Legion of Super-Heroes has a vision of an ally aiding the Legion and the Teen Titans in defeating the villainous Mordru. However, since the dream doesn't state when and where exactly, Supergirl, at the request of Brainiac 5, is asked to recruit the heroes and villains in saving the past and future.

Tropes:

  • Adapted Out: In this universe, the Legion is inspired by the Teen Titans, not any of the Superboys. Thus, while Supergirl plays a big role here, Superman, the Conner Kent Superboy and the Jonathan Samuel Kent Superboy are left out. This is especially notable with Jon since the Legion here are from the Brian Michael Bendis run.
  • Big Bad: Mordru once again serve as this, with the Fatal Five as his lackeys.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl, and Lightning Lad by the Emerald Empress, serving as Bounties for the New Earth Metropolis map.
  • A Day in the Limelight: Not only does the Legion finally show up, but this episode gives Supergirl some things to do since The Death of Superman and there's some focus on the Titans, particularly Static.
    • Static in general gets plenty of focus in this episode, despite only having a significant role in the finale. Specifically, there is a collection that is focused around him and his life and his goggles serve as this episode's Infinity +1 Sword.
  • In the Past, Everyone Will Be Famous: You in regards to the Legion — Supergirl warns you to bring a pen as they want autographs of you.
  • Ret-Gone: Mordru's ultimate plan is to erase the heroes and villains in the past that served as inspirations to the 31st century.
  • Unexplained Recovery: Mordru was devoured at the end of Justice League Dark. It's not quite explained how he managed to come back from that.
