Jack: Check it out, <Player's Name>! I'm walking like an Egyptian! And so's this mummy!

After Lars deduces The Sword has been in Egypt, the Bureau arrives to Giza to look for leads about their whereabouts. There, Jack and the player decide to visit a pyramid, where they find the freshly killed and mummified body of fruit vendor Afif Wahab.

Tropes:

  • Arms Dealer: At the end of the case, the Bureau travels to Dubai to meet with one of them, pretending to be rebels forming a group so they can lure The Sword into a trap.
  • Call-Back: Asal Haawa reappears as a suspect, while Jonah Karam reappears to give you more information during the Additional Investigation.
  • Cliffhanger: The case ends with Jack and the player going to Dubai to meet with a dangerous Arms Dealer so they can attract the even more dangerous Sword towards them.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: The killer shoved a hook up the victim's nose to remove his brain while he was still alive. Jack looks notably sick when Angela tells you about it.
  • Curse Cut Short: You find a recording of Ellen arguing with the victim which cuts off when she call him an "ungrateful little-"
  • Deep Cover Agent: Both Asal and the victim are revealed to be this, the former being a Mossad agent acting as an erotic belly dancer and the latter a Professional Killer from SOMBRA pretending to be a fruit vendor.
  • Enemy Mine: Despite being at odds with the Bureau, Jonah decides to help them track The Sword during the Additional Investigation, claiming that he's after both The Sword and SOMBRA.
  • Gunpoint Banter: Jack and Asal engage into one within a pyramid after you find a hidden camera belonging to her, revealing that she's an agent from the Mossad.
  • Gut Feeling: One by the player, who insists in investigating Afif's murder after Jack suggests the death of a fruit vendor seems like something more fitting for the local authorities to handle. As it turns out, the player is completely right, since the victim was actually an undercover agent from a dangerous criminal organization.
  • He Knows Too Much: Zarah killed Afif after she accidentally revealed to him she was an antiques smuggler
  • Incredibly Obvious Bug: Jack and the player find a fez hat with a visible camera on it, which belongs to Jean Connerie.
  • I'd Tell You, but Then I'd Have to Kill You: Jean Connerie claims that if he told Jack and the player what his secret mission in Egypt is, he'd have to kill them. Jack is not intimidated, to say the least.
  • The Infiltration: At the end of the case, Jack and the player travel to Dubai dressed as rebels so they can meet up with Seamus Cummings, an Arms Dealer providing weapons for The Sword.
  • Lame Pun Reaction: Elliot does this towards his own pun after he tells you the fruit vendor business permit you found had some "juicy" info.
Elliot: Oh God, that pun was terrible... I'm turning into Lars...
  • Laxative Prank: The victim gave a box of laxative-laced sweets to his rival Jawad, which got him hospitalized and almost killed him.
  • The Man Behind the Man: It's revealed that a Nebulous Evil Organization called SOMBRA was behind the Promethians back in Europe, with the cult being one of its many cells scattered all around the world.
  • Nebulous Criminal Conspiracy: SOMBRA's cells all over the world function as this, having an Ancient Conspiracy cult in Europe and groups of extremist rebels in the Sahara, for example.
  • Nebulous Evil Organisation: Asal informs you about SOMBRA, an evil organization with cells and agents all over the world that the Mossad has been investigating.
  • Noodle Incident: Asal recalls how she can't trust anyone saying they're the good guys anymore because "they all say that."
  • Nose Shove: The victim was killed by having a hook shoved up his nose to remove his brain, akin to the real mummification process.
  • Only in It for the Money: Ellen Redfern, an archaeologist, is only in the job so she can sell antiques to the mayor bidder, and tried to convince the victim to hide some artifacts for her.
  • Overt Operative: Jean Connerie, a French spy who had been following Asal but isn't great at hiding that he's a spy.
Jean: I can't believe you saw through my disguise, <Player's Name>! I am indeed a spy. My name is Jean Connerie.
Jack: Wait, is your mustache fake? And you call yourself a spy?! Please tell me you're joking! The hat was bad enough!
  • Professional Killer: The victim was this, posing as a fruit vendor while in reality he was a hitman hired by SOMBRA to kill Jean Connerie.
  • The Reveal: There's a Nebulous Evil Organization called SOMBRA with agents and cells all over the world, the Promethians back in Europe were just a link in their chain, and The Sword is also working for them.
  • Rhyming Names: Jawad Rashad.
  • The Rival: Jawad Rashad and Afif Wahab were this, since they were competitors in the fruit vending business.
  • Shout-Out:
    • The case's title is likey a reference to I Spy.
    • Jean Connerie is a parody of James Bond, and he is named after Sean Connery.
    • In the Tomb scene, there is a familiar fedora and a statue of Osiris.
      • Similarly, in the Sarcophagus scene, there is a whip and depictions of Horus and Anubis. There is also the symbol of Corona.
    • In the Nile River scene, there is a golden Nefertiti Bust.
    • Asal Hawaa is revealed to be an undercover agent working for the Mossad.
  • Tap on the Head: The victim was knocked out with an ankh before the killer extracted his brain through his nose.
  • Undercover Cop Reveal: Asal Hawaa is actually an agent from the Mossad posing as a belly dancer, who was tracking down the victim and investigating an evil organization called SOMBRA.
  • Venturous Smuggler: Zarah Salah, the killer, is an antiquities minister who also smuggles and illegally sells them since her job doesn't pay as much, and she killed Afif after she accidentally revealed her secret.
  • Verbal Backspace: When you inform Asal about the victim's death, she exclaims it should be impossible before correcting it a more mundane "that's awful", hinting at the fact both she and Afif are undercover agents.
  • Walk Like an Egyptian: Jack does this at the start of the case, complete with an animated sprite.
